​Qing is dual qualified in China and England and Wales. She has extensive experience working in cross-jurisdictional context, and has advised clients on high profile disputes arising from infrastructure and energy sectors. After 15 years work experience at an international law firm, Qing now works as Senior Consultant at Yingke Law Firm.

Selected Cases and Experience: 
International Arbitration: 
  • Represented a Chinese construction company in an UNCITRAL arbitration (seated in Hong Kong) against the employer in relation to a railway project in the Philippines, including providing strategic advice on two court proceedings arising from the same project. Dispute arose on the validity of the contract and the termination of the contract; value in dispute over USD200 million. Governing law of contract is Philippine law;
  • Represented a Chinese construction contractor in an ICC arbitration (seated in Geneva) against the employer in relation to a 600MW coal fired supercritical power plant project in Turkey. Dispute arose from two outages occurring during commercial operation; value in dispute at USD 170 million. Governing law of contract is Swiss law; 
  • Represented a Chinese trade company in a DIFC-LCIA arbitration (seated in Dubai) against a Dubai company in relation to disputes arising from manganese ore supply contracts between the parties;
  • Advised an international construction consortium in relation to its termination of two highway construction contracts in Poland, including providing advice on potential investment arbitration.
Claims and Disputes
  • Advised a Chinese state-owned insurance company on its short-term export credit insurance policy signed with a construction company for a project in Ecuador, including providing advice on the prospect of local court proceedings between the insured and the Ecuadorian owner;
  • Advised an international contractor on its dispute with the employer in relation to a road project in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The dispute arose from a World Bank investigation on the contractor; 
  • Advised an international contractor on its dispute with the employer in relation to the price Page 2 of 3 adjustment mechanism under a construction contract performed in Ethiopia;
  • Advised a Chinese contractor on its dispute with a foreign employer over final settlement of a construction project in Shandong, China;
  • Advised a Chinese invested cement manufacturer on its execution of a settlement agreement with its distributor in Laos;
  • Advised a construction contractor on its daily legal issues arising from a hydropower plant project in Pakistan including providing strategic advice on local court proceedings arising from tax issues; 
  • Advised a construction contractor on its delay claims arising from its design and installation of signalling system and main control system for an express railway project in Hong Kong;
  • Advised a Chinese equipment supplier on its payment claim against a French customer, including providing advice on the buy-back arrangement;
  • Advised an international contractor on its delay claims against the employer in relation to a road project in Afghanistan, including providing advice on its negotiation of an amended contract;
  • Advised an international contractor on its termination of a power plant construction contract in Sudan and related claim issues;
  • Advised a Chinese contractor on its termination of a building contract in Niger and related claim issues​. ​
