1) What is Prime Dispute Adjudication Training ?
Adjudication is a procedure for resolving disputes without resorting to lengthy and expensive court procedure. Construction Adjudication is a procedure introduced in the UK by the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act [1996] (Construction Act). The original intention of the Act was that the process would be fairly informal. However, it has overtime developed into a more formal process with parties serving detailed submissions, witness statements and often expert reports. Prime Dispute's adjudication courses cover all the skills needed to effectively understand and adjudicate B2B (Business to Business), B2C (Business to Consumer) and disputes within the construction Industry. Courses also support individuals seeking to act as adjudicators and/or professional representing parties in adjudication proceedings. Our adjudication training courses also include assessment for Prime Dispute’s internationally recognised membership designation. 2) Why choose Prime Dispute's Adjudication Training ? Prime Dispute Adjudication courses have been developed by professionals who understand the roles of adjudicators and professionals who represent parties to this process. Prime Dispute courses, therefore, deliver on the core values required to understand the needs of the construction Industry and parties who are seeking an alternative but equal approach to the solving of disputes other than traditional litigation. They have been designed in association with expert practitioners as well as a specialist team of executives who have extensive experience of working within the construction industry and, in particular, the dispute avoidance and resolution environment. The training prepares candidates to adjudicate disputes within industry and all our adjudicators are actively supported by Prime Dispute even after candidates have passed their adjudication course. We also provide a forum of global connections with the same mission, vision and regulation framework as Prime Dispute. 3) English Language Standards for Adjudication Training Courses Prime Dispute welcomes applications from international candidates for our Adjudication programmes. Prime Dispute's Adjudication programmes are delivered in English and this includes all associated services relating to our courses. Candidates should, therefore, meet minimum language standards. Candidates should have achieved a standard that is, as a minimum, equivalent to the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) level 7 or a score of 94-101 in the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) system. Prime Dispute will not require any evidence of this prior to enrolment to the course. However, it is emphasised that candidates who do not have this standard of English are likely to be at a disadvantage throughout the process. 4) What are the key features of our Adjudication training courses? Prime Dispute's courses are taught by experienced practitioners, and many of our senior fellows have industry, adjudication and dispute avoidance and resolution experience. This ensures that the course is constantly refreshed with the latest industry ethics, rules, procedures and good practice, and provides candidates with the opportunity to associate with people who can provide hands-on experience and insight into their industry area of conflict/dispute avoidance and resolution.
