Equal Opportunities & Diversity Policy


​1. Introduction 

1.1 This document sets out Prime Dispute's equal opportunities and diversity policy as it relates to training, development and events. 
1.2 Prime Dispute will review this policy and its associated procedures annually.

2. Responsibility and Commitment 

2.1 Prime Dispute will: 
(a) Ensure that access to learning opportunities and assessment is open to all individuals without compromising the key integrity of the membership designations;
(b) Ensure that content of all written information including assessment materials and educator resources are non-discriminatory and free from social and racial bias or stereotypical wording;
(c) Monitor promotional materials for the use of potentially discriminatory language or bias and promote positive images;
(d) Acknowledge and investigate all complaints, within the remit of Prime Dispute;
(e) Monitor on an on-going basis of all its policies to ensure that this they are achieving its objective of providing all candidates with equal access and fair assessment; and
(f) Ensure that the monitoring data on ethnicity, gender, age and disability in relation to candidates is carried out in line with current Legal requirements.

3. Educators

3.1 Prime dispute promotes an ethos which encourages equality and diversity and is free from discrimination, harassment or victimisation of any kind and expects all its tutors and speakers to adhere to this ethos.

3.2 All Prime Dispute Educators shall actively promote and adhere to Prime Dispute’s Equal Opportunities and Diversity Policy to ensure that no individual is disadvantaged due to any of the following characteristics:
 
(a) Gender, including gender reassignment;
(b) Marital or civil partner status; 
(c) Race (including colour, nationality, ethnic or national origins);
(d) Disability; 
(e) Sexual orientation; 
(d) Religion or belie ;
(e) Age; and/or 
(f) Pregnancy and maternity.

3.3 All Prime Dispute Educators will be able to demonstrate awareness of cultural differences in providing training, development or events on different continents.

4. Challenges and Conduct

4.1 Any challenges or reports of non compliances with this policy will be investigated. If there are any instances of non compliance or breaches by Prime Dispute executives i.e. Members, President; Vice President, Trustees, Consultants or Educators, appropriate action will be taken at the sole discretion of Prime Dispute.
