Background information: 
Kieran Morgan is a Senior Construction, Projects and Disputes Lawyer with 15 years’ PQE in legal private practice and in-house /consultancy. Kieran has practised in top tier law firms in Belfast and Newcastle /London, managing a varied caseload of £multi-million construction disputes, professional indemnity claims and commercial litigation matters, and various dispute avoidance and dispute resolution mandates in national and international Courts and Tribunals, including conciliation, mediation, adjudication and international arbitration. Kieran has also practised as In-House Counsel and Consultant managing £multi-million construction and residential /commercial development projects across the UK and Ireland, drafting full suites of construction contracts, collateral warranties, notices, certificates and variations.

Kieran is an International Arbitration Counsel and Independent Arbitrator specialising in construction and energy disputes, appointed to the List of Arbitrators at the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators (SIArb), and the Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators (HKIArb). Kieran is empanelled on the President’s List of Arbitrators at the Asian Institute of Alternative Dispute Resolution (AIADR) (2022-2025) and the FPD Panel of Arbitrators (2023-2026). 

Kieran is a Member of the European Commission High Level Construction Forum and co-creation panel with the task of leading the Transition Pathway towards a green, digital and resilient construction ecosystem in the context of a ‘Renovation Wave for Europe’. He interacts with stakeholders across the EU27 on the glide-path towards zero-emission buildings by 2050. Kieran is a Member of DG_GROW and regularly attends Workshops organised by the European Innovation Council (EIC). He performs an Ambassador role on the Board of EU_BUILD UP, the reference portal for energy efficiency and renewable energy in buildings across Europe under the umbrella of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) and the European Climate Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA).

Kieran is a Researcher and MSc. candidate at the world leading Centre of Construction Law and Dispute Resolution, King’s College London where he will critically assess alliance and smart contracts, gold standards in construction, green and strategic public procurement, zero-emission buildings, and international construction arbitration.

Kieran is a very talented and experienced Solicitor, Project Manager and Disputes Resolver, and has acted on behalf of Contractors and Employers /Clients nationally and internationally in a wide range of disputes, including but not limited to, breach of contract, negligence, EoT, liquidated damages, disruption and delay, force majeure, professional indemnity, product liability, building and groundworks, water and wastewater infrastructure, residential and commercial development, property syndicates, project finance, mining, onshore and offshore wind, and transport.
