Peter Vinden is the Managing Director of The Vinden Partnership which he set up in 1994 to advise clients involved in the holding and development of land and property assets. His practice is regarded as being one of the UK’s most successful multi-disciplinary practices. Peter is continuously engaged as an Adjudicator, Arbitrator, Expert or Mediator and is listed on all the major professional panels in the UK and Europe. Peter has in depth knowledge of commercial disputes and he is described as “bold and fearless” by those parties who instruct Peter Vinden.

  • Peter Vinden is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, Arbitrator, Adjudicator and Expert with 30 years’ experience of commercial dispute resolution. He specialises in construction, engineering, banking, finance and insurance disputes throughout the UK and Europe;
  • Peter Vinden is very experienced dispute professional with particular expertise in construction and development disputes involving monetary and time claims between Main Contractors and Employers, Sub-Contractors and Main Contractors, Consultants and Employers;
  • Peter Vinden has been appointed as Adjudicator, Expert Determiner and Arbitrator in excess of 250 occasions (as at June 2014) typically receiving between 15 and 25 appointments per calendar year since 1998 on monetary disputes ranging from as little as £10,000 to in excess of £100 million;
  • Formerly Group Commercial Director of The Caunce Group of Companies (Main Contractor, Specialist Structural Steelwork and Cladding companies) and senior roles in The Snape Group (Morgan Sindall) and Balfour Beatty Building;
  • Peter Vinden has significant experience of all quantity surveying matters together with the commercial management of contracting organisations. Skilled in claims preparation, the drafting of expert reports and the writing of contractual and commercial procedures;
  • Peter Vinden is an experienced Mediator (separate CV available from Prime Dispute) qualified in UK, Europe and USA and listed on all major panels. Completed in excess of 200 cases as Mediator, since qualification;
  • Peter Vinden is an experienced seminar presenter, contract drafter, adjudicator, mediator and advisor on alternative dispute resolution techniques and business strategy generally. Specialist experience gained in “fast track” industrial building trades.
