Background information: 
Pijan Wu is a senior counsel at LCS & Partners and an adjunct associate professor at Soochow University Law School. He practices and teaches mainly in the following areas:
  • International trade and investment, including actual cases and research projects. He has written thesis and articles on the bilateral, regional and multilateral trade/investment issues.
  • Arbitration: He has worked on both commercial and investment arbitration. Especially for investor-state arbitration, he regularly advises and trains government agencies on the implication and enforcement of BIT/FTA containing such mechanism.
  • M&A: While LCS is constantly ranked as top-tier M&A firm in Taiwan, Pijan has also been recognized as the leading lawyer in this area for many times. He is especially active in cross-border M&A involving TMT businesses.
  • ​​Energy: LCS is one of very few law firms in Taiwan which has a prolific energy law practice. Pijan has been the outside legal counsel of Taiwan’s Bureau of Energy, advising on energy law and policies. Pijan received his LLB and EMBA from National Taiwan University, LLM from Soochow University and JSD from New York University. He is admitted in New York State bar and is currently an FCIArb and FPD.​
