Background information: As a practicing barrister and quantity surveyor, Robert has over 30 years' experience of the construction industry with particular emphasis on all forms of dispute resolution. Robert also spent six years as a solicitor specialising in construction and commercial disputes as the client's representative whilst continuing to act as the dispute resolver. Robert is a chartered arbitrator, accredited mediator, adjudicator and dispute board member on a wide range of UK and overseas panels. He is also a member of the FIDIC President's List of Approved Dispute Adjudicators and TfL's Conflicts Avoidance Panel. As an arbitrator Robert undertakes disputes involving professional negligence, delay analysis, costs, defects, interpretation of contract, termination and all other aspects of contract in the areas of property, building, civil engineering, roads, rail & tunneling, mechanical & electrical and process engineering. With a Diploma in International Arbitration and being a member of the New York Bar, Robert has a unique view of the worldwide arbitration arena today. Robert has also acted as the adjudicator in over 300 wide ranging construction disputes referred to him by the numerous panels and he is a member of and by private appointment. Robert is a member of:
